Cyberpunk 2077 2.1 is the successor to Phantom Liberty with new changes related to AI, and a whole new Metro Station. But, with a massive update like this one, you are bound to have issues and one of them is related to the Keybinds.
After the Cyberpunk 2077 2.1 update, players can’t change their Keybinds, as they don’t save and require you to fill the whole chart as well. Here in this guide, we are going to discuss the issue and give you a fix for that as well.
What is the Keybind Issue in Cyberpunk 2077 2.1 Update?
After updating the game, players are having issues with the Keybinds in a manner that they can’t bind keys to certain things like dashing.
When in the Keybinds many, players are forced to put in all the keys in the section to proceed onwards. Then again, for some, the issue persists and the keys don’t save at all, as they don’t bind to anything.
Even if you force close them after changing, they will revert to the original default keybind settings, and you will have to change them from the start every time you close and start the game.
Fix for Cyberpunk 2077 2.1 Update Keybind Save Issue
Note: We are not certain it might work for you or not, as some players reported following the methods below fixed the issue for them.
- Firstly, you need to delete all the keys for the Keybinds and change them accordingly, to your own choice.
- Secondly, don’t forget to bind all the keys to something, even if you don’t use the keys or the functionality.
- Thirdly, don’t force the keys to be the same, always have different ones for each task.
- Fourthly, double-check the keys and save the changes. They will work this time around
Side Note (2): In case it doesn’t work, you have to wait for the next patch that fixed the Keybind Issue in Cyberpunk 2077 2.1 Update. For the time being, if it doesn’t bind, use a different key for the same functionality and leave the others.
