Fire Resistance
Igneo Talus is covered in molten lava and uses its surroundings to its advantage. So you need to protect yourself against Lava to increase your chances of defeating this mini-boss.
You can do this with Fireproof Elixirs made using Fireproof Lizards or Smothering Butterflies. You can find both of these in Eldin Canyon.
The upgraded Flamebreaker Armor Set is another way to fireproof yourself. You can find all parts of this set in Goron City.
Cool it Down
Attacking Igneo Talus with ice arrows cools it down and brings it to its knees. This effect is temporary but useful. To make ice arrows, fuse Sapphires, Ice Fruit, or White Chuchu jellies with your arrows.
You can find fruit and jellies in the Hebra Mountains and Gerudo Highlands. For Sapphires, look for rare ore deposits with a golden tinge.
Other than ice arrows, Igneo Talus is also weak to Sidon’s water-slash attack. In fact, hitting any part of its body with water or Ice attacks puts it in a stun-locked state.
Attack the Crystal
Once Igneo Talus is cooled and stun locked, you can climb up to the green crystal on its head. This is its weak point. Attack the crystal with your most powerful weapon.
You can fuse powerful weapons with Black Boss Bokoblin Horn to further increase their attack. Use these to deal heavy damage to the crystal. Jump off as soon as the boss gets up and gets back to cool it down.
To attack the crystal from afar, use Bomb Arrows. Keep doing this until you take the mini-boss down.
Glide Away and Use Recall
Igneo talus’ attacks can deal a lot of damage. So be careful not to get hit. If you get close, it will attack you with its head and rotating arms. And if you keep your distance, it will throw its arms like a fiery boulder. It can also slam the ground to create an AoE explosion.
This is why it’s important to stun it before climbing on top. As soon as it comes out of the stun, glide away. If you don’t, it shakes its body to throw you off, dealing physical damage.
When you glide away, Igneo Talus gets mad and throws an arm like a fire boulder. Use the Recall ability to return it back. The damage stun locks the mini-boss. Then you can cool it down with an ice arrow, climb up, and start attacking the crystal.
Conclusion
To defeat Igneo Talus, you need to cool it down and attack the crystal on its head. We hope this guide on How To Defeat Igneo Talus Boss In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom helps you succeed. That said, happy gaming!
