While going through the coil event, players come across a well-hidden closed door that accompanies the Secret/Hidden Coil Chest. Even if you open the door, there are two chests here and one of them is a mimic, meaning if you open the wrong one, you lose the loot. What are the hidden and closed doors in the Destiny 2 Coil Event?
You come across a short path leading to a closed door in various locations throughout the coil. Refer to the image below to find out what the actual doors look like.
Behind these doors are the hidden or secret coil chests which you can open and get exotic loot. But, it has two chests, and you need to open only one which is the right decision.
Destiny 2 Secret/Hidden Coil Chest
To open the closed door in the coil event of Destiny 2, you will have to increase your score. But, how to increase your score? There are pots hidden across the whole area, which you can break to get these points and increase your score.
After you have enough score, a message will start running on the bottom left side “First Pathway: A secret chest lies in wait…”. Go to the door and it will be opened this time around. Mostly, the pots are around the green fog that damages you.
The door will be opened for you and the hidden/secret chests will be revealed. Open the correct one. Note: Don’t Open Both Hidden/Secret Chests in Coil Event of Destiny 2.
The correct Coil Chest is the one that doesn’t have circles or holes at the bottom.
Furthermore, you can also get these shards by defeating enemies and increasing your score through them.
