We all know the feeling of getting hyped up for a match of football, turning on the system, starting the game, and then after every few seconds, you get an interruption. Well, the same issue is with most of the players as they get an EA FC 24 Lost Connection During Match Find. While the network is doing fine with other multiplayer games, the FC 24 is having this connectivity issue. Why is it so, and how to fix it? Well, for some reason, there isn’t one technique to fix this issue. Some fixed it with a simple internet check, while others had to go through a long list of troubleshooting. Let’s get into the details below.
Why am I getting FC 24 Lost Connecting when Finding Match?
Physically it seems as if the issue is with the connection between the server and the system. There are various reasons behind it;
- Primarily, it could be the servers that are under maintenance or temporarily closed for the moment. As a result, you get a lost connection, stopping you from getting inside the match
- On the other side, there is a possibility that the Find Match Lost Connection is a result of your internet. FC 24 requires the most out of your internet. When someone else is using it, or the connection isn’t strong, the match results in a Lost Connection
- Thirdly, this one is strange, but if you have a ton of customizations, the match search fails often
- Finally, the reason for you having EA FC 24 Lost Connection During the Match Find could be because of the Matchmaking Settings
How to Fix EA FC 24 Lost Connection During Match Find?
Just as we mentioned, multiple things could fix the issue for you.
Check the FC 24 Server
First and foremost, you have to check the server status. It can be done through the EC FC 24 forum on X (Twitter). Or, you can also check it from EA Help Centre, by clicking on the Server Status.
Most of the time Lost Connection during a match find or inside the match is because of the server.
Internet Troubleshooting
Clear the Internet Cache by turning off the router and waiting for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Turn back the router On to clear the Internet Cache. Then, make sure you are connected to the router using your Ethernet cable.
Also, you have to disable the WiFi for a short duration while you are checking back on the internet, even if it is the one causing the Lost Connection issue in FC 24.
If you can’t disable WiFi, just change the WiFi Password, and you will automatically disconnect all the connected networks, including yours.
- Lessen the Customizations
- Now, in the character or team customization, you should change things around, by either going with the default or selecting something light.
- In the VP Appearance Edit, reset Morphs and don’t customize appearance, using only the presets available
- Just change your beard and hair
- Confirm the build preset in the lobby, if your OVR isn’t what it was before
Try to find a match again and again because sometimes you are not the issue, rather someone else you are getting matched up against is. If they have a ton of customizations, the game will show you Lost Connection during match-finding.
Change Matchmaking Settings
Go to your in-game settings from the main menu (Top Left Gear Icon). Go to Online Settings, and then Matchmaking.
From here change the following;
- Change Approx Location Matchmaking to Off (not Cross Play)
- Under Pro Clubs in the My Clubs Tab, you have to change the Matchmaking Region to something else, much better-suited
- Go to the League Match Mode, and turn off all the settings that are extra for you. Keep things simple
Go through all of these methods to Fix your EA FC 24 Lost Connection During Match Find. Hopefully, it will fix the issue, but in case it doesn’t, the issue might be with the servers.
Due to the same factors, you might also have EA Servers that are Unable to Process Request Issues in FC 24. For some people, the game has My Packs Tab Missing in the game.
