The Sojourns of the Barking Fox is a mini-game in Genshin Impact 3.8’s Secret Summer Paradise event. The event starts on 7th July and ends on 15th August. During it, you have to complete challenges to earn rewards.
To unlock the Sojourns of the Barking Fox event, you need to first complete Act 2 of Secret Summer Paradise: Mirage Paradise in Crisis!
How to Complete the Sojourns of the Barking Fox Event?
Talk to Phantom Toy Master
The first thing you need to do is find and talk to the Phantom Toy Master, Madiha. To do this, head over to the Veluriyam Mirage map. Then make your way to the Silver Bottle Courtyard.
Fast travel to the western waypoint in Silver Bottle Courtyard. From there, jump down towards the houses. See that weary merchant lady with the blue hair and maroon dress? That’s Madiha. Approach her and make her some food. After she regains her strength, she will show you her toy.
She will then ask for your help completing the final tests. In exchange, she promises you 70% of the total Barking Fox profits for the next year.
Start the Challenge
Check your map for the mini-game location. The first challenge is in the Silver Bottle Courtyard. Fast travel to it. Then make your way to the marker. See that structure with a red glow? Approach it and press F to start the Sojourns of the Barking Fox mini-game.
Collect Coins
In the mini-game, you need to guide the Barking Fox along a course to an objective. During this, you need to collect as many adventure coins (the golden rings) as possible. The more coins you collect, the higher your score and the better the rewards.
You need to do all of this within a time limit. To go faster, hold the sprint button. This costs stamina, but you have a while before the meter depletes. Plus, collecting Adventure Coins restores a bit of stamina.
Avoid Sleetdross Fruits and Disruptor Orbs
During the mini-game, you will encounter Sleetdross Fruits and Disruptor Orbs. Sleetdross Fruits are brown orbs that reduce your remaining time for the challenge. While Disruptor Orbs fire blue Hydro waves that do the same thing.
Hitting either of these slows you down and can stop you from reaching your goal. They also decrease your final score. As such, you must avoid them at all costs.

Collect 3000 Points in Gentle Ascent to get 20 Primogems, 100 Fascinating Phenocryst, 2 Nagadus Emerald Fragments, 2 Mystic Enhancement Ore, and 40,000 Mora.
