How Many Matches To Win To Unlock Rank in CS2?

No one believes your skills in the game even if you had the best aim and the most wins, till you unlock your Rank. It is a direct representation of your skills in Counter-Strike 2, and also your experience with the game. The better you are with your team, individual skills, and understanding of the game mechanics, the higher rank you will unlock in the game. It is that simple! But, with the release of CS2, players were wondering how many matches to win to unlock rank in CS2. In Short, you will have to play 10 consecutive Competitive Matches to unlock your Rank in the game. But, things have changed and it is not that simple now. Let me explain!

CS2 Rank Modes Explained!

Unlike the previous Counter-Strike, known as CSGO or Counter-Strike Global Offensive, players can now enjoy “Premier Rank Match“, which is a notch above the typical Competitive Match.

Both of these are completely different from one another. The old OG players know that you have to reach a specific level to unlock the Competitive Ranking in the game. Then, the Rank you unlock is a measure of how well you played in those games of yours.

For the Competitive Game Mode, you don’t need the Prime Status, you just have to play 10 games, known as the placement matches and you will receive your rank, just like the previous game.

But what has changed in CS2? Previously, if you played the game on different maps, the placement and the ranks were the same. But, in CS2, the ranking system is attached to your map.

Each of the Premier Maps will give you a different competitive ranking for the player. Also, the ELO numbers for players are shown. As a result of all this, you can’t queue all the maps in CS2 Premier Mode. You will have to go through a specific ban phase and map selection.

So, just start CS2, and play 10 games to unlock your Rank in the Competitive Game Mode. Remember that your performance and stats in these Game Modes, besides your Win/Loss, will matter most.

CS2 New Rank System Premier has Map Point Based Rating

By the way, CS2 is having a hard time nowadays, as players can’t find a match in CS2. Some who can, are suffering from server instability. So, it is not a good idea to play competitive matches during this period.
