Update GPU Drivers
- Download Nvidia Experience to get the latest drivers for Nvidia GPU and install them in the safest manner.
- Download AMD Adrenaline to get the latest drivers for AMD GPU and install them in the safest manner.
Update Windows and DirectX
On the bottom left side of your Windows 11, you will find Windows Search Bar. Type in Update and Press Enter to get to the Update Window. From here, you can search for Updates automatically and let Windows download those updates as well.
As a side, this will also update your DirectX version if you are using a previous version.
Uninstall Riot Vanguard
The third method to fix the Valorant DirectX Runtime Error on Windows 11 is to uninstall Riot Vanguard and reinstall it. How to do that?
- You will have to go to settings
- Then search for “Add or Remove Programs”
- Find Riot Vanguard there
- Click and Uninstall
After you are done, you will have to check for Riot Vanguard in your Control Panel and restart your system one time. When you are done, you will just have to start Valorant and Riot Vanguard will be downloaded automatically.

- Go to the DirectX Runtime Installer here
- Click on Download
- Follow the instructions
- Start the setup
Restart afterward
Reinstall Valorant
In case nothing works, you might have to Reinstall Valorant. On the bottom left, you will have to search for the Control Panel on Windows 11. Then, you will have to go to Applications and Programs, and under that Uninstall Applications.
Find Valorant and Riot, and uninstall both of them. It will take some time and when you are done, you will have to Download Valorant.
