Destiny 2 Season of the Wish brings new elements to the game for players to take part in and enjoy. While full coverage of the story isn’t something in particular that Bungie has been planning for this patch, but to keep the players attracted to the game, they do have new exotic items, their ornaments/skins, and events. One of the new exotic items includes the latest Thorn Ornament “Essentialism” in Destiny 2, and here we will show you what the new Thorn Ornament looks like and how to get it.
What is Thorn in Destiny 2 Season of the Wish?
Thorn is an exotic hand cannon in Destiny 2 that is getting an overhauling in the latest Season of the Wish update. Players are always in search of exotic weapons, particularly ones that look like revolvers.
So, considering Thorn is a hand cannon and looks like a bad-ass revolver, it is great for PvP multiplayer, single-shotting enemies, and showcasing your aim with some class.
Thorn Ornament has the following perks and new upgrades in Destiny 2 Season of the Wish:
Mark of the Devourer
Piercing bullets that go through and devourer the armor of enemies, also doing DPS (damage per second) to them. In case an enemy is killed using Thorn, they will give you Remnants.
Soul Devourer
When you gain a Remnant it will put more strength in the Mark of Devourer. Furthermore, it will refill some of your magazines.
Season of the Wish Patch for Thorn
If you get the new thorn in the Season of the Wish, you will be able to utilize the improved Catalyst, giving you 20 plus range and 10 plus stability.
A new perk is given in the latest Destiny 2 patch as well which enhances the handling and range of the weapon alongside the mobility of your character. All of this combined makes Thorn Ornament a formidable weapon in PvP combat of Destiny 2.
Extras
- Thorn is used to improve poison damage
- Create Remnants with final blows
- Pick up Remnants to enhance poison damage
- Refill ammo with Remnants
- Overflow the magazine sometimes as well
- Two critical strikes from Thorn can deplete more than 50 Resilience
- Enhanced poison can even pass through it
How to get the new Thorn Ornament “Essentialism” in Destiny 2?
To get the Thorn Hand Cannon in Destiny 2, you’ll have to play Forsaken DLC, giving you Forsaken Ciphers (x3). Using those Ciphers, you can get the Forsaken Exotic Items from the “Monuments to Lost Lights” which further includes the Thorn Ornament.
In case you don’t have the Ciphers available, you can still use other things like:
- 150k Glimmer
- 1 Ascendant Shard
- 1 Exotic Cipher
To get these items, you will have to play the game, especially the Cipher Quests.
New Thorn Ornaments in Destiny 2
The new Thorn Orament in Destiny 2 known as “Essentialism” looks quite like the Root of Nightmares. One of the best skins and designs for Thorn that you can find in the market.
Furthermore, there are 3 other Thorn Ornaments in Destiny 2:
- Wishes of Sorrow
- For the King
- Heretic Robe
All of them look incredible and to get these old Thorn Ornaments/Skins, you will have to purchase from either Heretic Robe, Wishes of Sorrow, or For the King.
