How To Get The Atom Smasher

Get the Atom Smasher before the Pulse Rifle. You find the Decorum Cipher needed for the Pulse Rifle on the way. To unlock the Atom Smasher:

Head to Terminus Station

First head to an area called Terminus Station. This is tricky as the area may not have spawned for you yet. In that case, reroll your campaign or play some adventure mode until you get the needed area early on.

As you reroll, keep an eye out for the Dormant N’erudian Facility. You’ll need this to spawn for the Pulse Rifle.

Fight to reach fast travel point

Play through the Terminus Station to the end. You’ll have to defeat waves of enemies in a train. After you take care of these, get off the train using the fast travel point.

Climb up ladder

In the next area, head to the right where you see an entrance with some low hanging wires. Crawl under them. Then go through the path on the right and up the ladder. You’ll reach a metal platform. Go through the gate on the right. You will enter a room with a bunch of glowing purple rods.

Get the Atom Smasher

In the purply lit room, jump through the empty window on the left, near the room’s entrance. You’ll land on a metallic platform with an opening in the floor. Go through it.

See that machine with a purple glow in front of you? Take the Decorum Cipher from its slot. The machine will stop glowing. Approach the opposite side of the room. You’ll find the Atom Smasher to the right of a weird circular contraption. Pick it up.

How To Get The Pulse Rifle

You need two items to get the Pulse Rifle. The Decorum Cipher and Memory Core II. You’ve already got the Decorum Cipher. Here’s how to get the Memory Core II and what to do afterwards:

Reach Dormant N’erudian Facility control room

Reach the Dormant N’erudian Facility’s end and look for a broken fence you can drop down through. Follow the path to the control room. There’s a Biome-Control Glyph next to the controls. Pick it up and beat the miniboss that appears.

Pick up Memory Core II

Return to the Facility entrance. You’ll find a locked door next to it. Unlock it with the Biome-Control Glyph. Inside, there’s another one of those glowing purple machines. This time with a Memory Core II. Pick it up.

Head to the Custodian

Now head to the Abyssal Rift to the area where you can find the Custodian. There’s a small hidden area to the Custodian entrance’s left. Drop to it to reach a secret room. From there, take an elevator down to another area with a glowing purple machine.

Get Pulse Rifle

Insert the Decorum Cipher and Memory Core II into this machine. This deactivates the purple energy shield behind it. Go through to get the Pulse Rifle next to a fallen fighter.
