JJK Season 2 is currently ongoing and airing on multiple huge streaming platforms like Netflix and Crunchyroll.
The anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” is animated by Studio MAPPA. MAPPA is behind some famous animes like Attack on Titans, Chainsaw Man, Hell’s Paradise, and Terror in Resonance.
Fans always praise them for the work they do and the perfection they come up with. For example, fans like me are in love with Attack on Titan animation.
However, after the highly anticipated “Jogo vs Sukuna” fight was animated, fans expressed their dissatisfaction.
The animation of the Nanami vs Haruto fight, on the other hand, was exceptionally well-executed, which only heightened the fans’ expectations. Fans took it to Twitter and showed their dissatisfaction.
The employees of MAPPA underwent a meltdown because of this. They also took it to Twitter and expressed that this is due to overwhelming workloads and poor working conditions.
Is Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Canceled?
Last Thursday, the latest episode 41 aired. The fight between Sukuna and Mahoraga concluded and it was the animated adaption of chapters 117-119. The animation was well executed.
However, this was the last episode that is going to be visually appealing. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is not canceled but the original animators left the project. Episode 42 is still scheduled to be released on time i.e. on November 23rd, 2023.
Even though MAPPA was hit by a huge social media backlash. They are not going to change their ways.
They will simply give this project to some other animators. We just hope the animation does not turn out to be like Boruto as JJK has been very visually appealing even the Sukuna vs Mahoraga was exceptionally well executed.
Final Words
No, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is not canceled and the remaining episodes are still scheduled to be released on time. However, you will see huge difference in animations in the remaining episodes.
