Last Thursday, the latest episode 41 aired. The fight between Sukuna and Mahoraga concluded and it was the animated adaption of chapters 117-119. The animation was well executed.
However, this was the last episode that is going to be visually appealing. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is not canceled but the original animators left the project. Episode 42 is still scheduled to be released on time i.e. on November 23rd, 2023.
Even though MAPPA was hit by a huge social media backlash. They are not going to change their ways.
They will simply give this project to some other animators. We just hope the animation does not turn out to be like Boruto as JJK has been very visually appealing even the Sukuna vs Mahoraga was exceptionally well executed.
