What happened in Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 41
The episode “Thunderclap, Part 2” started with Megumi summoning Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga.
After Megumi’s fight with Toji, he was badly hurt and exhausted and then suddenly Haruto comes and slashes his back.
Megumi then reveals his trump card by summoning the Mahoraga. However, he knew that he could not tame Mahoraga so he hoped that he would die along with Haruto.
Sukuna had other plans for Megumi, so he saved Megumi using the Reverse Curse Technique and started fighting Mahoraga.
In a flashback, Gojo tells Megumi that their ancestors fought and Megumi can one day be an equal to Gojo because of his technique Ten Shadows Technique.
In the manga it has been finally revealed why Sukuna saved Megumi, it was because of his technique.
Sukuna took over the body of Megumi and using this technique managed to kill Gojo. We have covered some JJK 242 Leaks too.
Sukuna started to fight Divine General Mahoraga. At the start, they were equally matched.
However, Sukuna was trying to figure out how Mahoraga was able to predict his moves. Sukuna kept slashing Mahoraga and he kept healing again and again.
He was a formidable enemy even for Sukuna. Their fight ended up slashing the remaining Shibuya.
Sukuna then realizes that Mahoraga is adapting to his attacks. He then uses domain expansion to finish Mahoraga.
After the battle, Yuji gets the control back and he sees all the chaos and havoc done by Sukuna in a flashback. Episode 41 ends with Nanami being in the spotlight half burnt and barely hanging.
JJK Episode 42: Yuji vs Mahito What To Expect
As manga readers already know what is going to happen. Nanami will keep on killing the transformed humans.
However, Mahito appears out of nowhere and Nanami realizes that he is going to die. Meanwhile, Yuji appears too.
However, he was too late. Mahito blows the upper half of Nanami in front of Yuji and this angers Yuji so much that he charges towards Mahito and thus the fight begins.
Yuji vs Mahito is also one of the most awaited battles in the Shibuya Arc. However, the upcoming episode is going to be the most emotional episode in the entire series. Nanami is going to die.
Is JJK Episode 42 Going To Be Delayed Because Of JJK Production Meltdown?
The employees of MAPPA underwent a meltdown. Animators complained about the overwhelming workload and unhealthy work environment. Some of the employees left the job because of this. So, the upcoming episodes won’t be produced by the same animators.
We will see a huge change in the animations. I hope it does not turn out to be like Boruto. For now, there is no news on the delay. Episode 42 is still scheduled for 23rd November 2023.
