Typically, you open a page in a different language than English on Microsoft Edge, and there is a popup that gives you a choice to translate into English. But, recently the Microsoft Edge Translate to English is Not Working and Appearing.
Why? The language might be taken out of the list, or the settings might be changed. How to fix it? Check out the settings and the languages, making sure that the Edge can effortlessly read the page for translation.
Sometimes users are faced with High Memory Usage on Microsoft Edge. It might not be that frequent, but it is always annoying.
Turn Auto Translation Page On in Edge
The first thing you have to do is turn the auto-translate option On in your Microsoft Edge browser. Sometimes it turns off automatically, resulting in the Edge Not Translating Pages to English.
- Open Edge
- Press 3 Dots on the Top Right
- Go to Settings
- Search for Translate on the Left
- Turn “Offer to Translate Pages that Aren’t in a Language I Read” On
On the top, select the preferred Language to English, and also choose other languages that you speak and what to translate into.
Also, you can turn it off, and restart your system. Then come back to the same settings and turn it back on.

When you are on a page that needs to be translated on Microsoft Edge, there will appear a logo on the top right. You can click on this logo to open the Translate Window on Microsoft Edge.
Also, you can check the box that says, “Always Translate Pages from…”. Then select the desired language on the top.
Custom Translate Text on Microsoft Edge
In case you still have an issue with Microsoft Edge Translate to English Not Working and Appearing, then you can also select the desired text and translate it to English or your desired language on Microsoft Edge.
- Go to the page
- Get to the text
- Select Text to be Translated with your Mouse
- Right Click
- Select “Translate to English”
