There might be good news for die-hard fans of the show “Prison Break“. There have been rumors on the internet that the famous show is coming back for season 6 on Netflix.
Prison Break which premiered on Fox in 2005 has become one of the biggest television series.
The show also received a Golden Globe for its first season and received a lot of praise from the audience and critics. The show aired for four years from 2005 to 2009.
Also, the fox also released the movie Prison Break: The Final Break which was released in 2009. Prison Break also came back for a fifth season in May 2017. Fans were hoping that Fox would release season 6 of the show.
In 2018, Fox announced that the sixth season of the show is in development. However, Fox officially announced in August 2019 that season 6 of the show has been canceled. This news broke the hearts of the viewers who were looking forward to season 6.

No, the show is not returning for season 6. A Facebook account by the name “Netflix News” Michael and Lincoln’s picture with the caption “Season 6. Soon“. The news quickly spread among the fans of the show.
But, Netflix’s official team has not officially announced anything about season 6. Fans quickly took to comments to express their excitement in the comments.
But, it seems like the news was false. The picture was taken in 2018 and that old photo is making rounds on the internet now.
A new series in development at Hulu
But, there is good news for the fans. A new show based on the original Prison Break is coming to Hulu. Wentworth Miller revealed in 2020 that the actor will not be playing straight characters. He stated in one of his posts on Instagram in 2020 that;
“I just don’t want to play straight characters,” he wrote. “Their stories have been told (and told). If you’re hot and bothered bec you fell in love with a fictional straight man played by a real gay one… That’s your work.”
It seems like Miller will not be returning to play Michael anytime soon. But, we will see new characters and stories.
