Why does it happen?
Most probably it’s an issue with the EA and Steam Syncing with one another. It could be both or one of the servers in the software. Due to the issue with the connection, the game doesn’t start.
To help the game start you can make a connection by waiting for some time and closing the game through Task Manager and again starting from Steam.

- Remove all the Mods from your Sims 4 Game
- Launch the game from Steam
- Wait a few minutes it will take a while
- Wait till the EA Window pops up 2 times
- Check if the game starts
- If it doesn’t close the game through Task Manager

- Again start the game on Steam
