Features
Ranking System
Below is the ranking system for the Warzone 2 Ranked Play beta:
0–899 SR: Bronze
900–2,099 SR: Silver
2,100–3,599 SR: Gold
3,600–5,399 SR: Platinum
5,400–7,499 SR: Diamond
7,500–9,999 SR: Crimson
10,000 SR minimum: Iridescent
10,000+ SR: Top 250
This is the same ranking system as MW2’s Ranked Mode. But don’t feel disappointed just yet. The developers have confirmed that Warzone 2’s Ranked Mode will have a completely different progression system.
To rank in the Battle Royale style Ranked mode, you need a certain Skill Rating (SR). This depends on your match performance. You start from Bronze. Your number of kills, assists, and placement at the end of each match increase your Skill Rating.
Playing a Ranked match requires a modest SR entry fee. There’s a rundown of the changes in your Skill Rating at the end. Players who make it to the Top 250 Skill Division feature on a public leaderboard for everyone to see.
Rules
We have already mentioned the SR entry fee for Ranked matches. Confused about how this works? Basically, you have to put a certain amount of SR on the line to enter a match. Depending on your performance, you either earn an equal or greater amount of SR. Or you don’t and de-rank.
Unlike normal public matches, the Ranked Play beta will also feature some specific rules. So far, the developers have only mentioned “restricted loadouts”. This could mean no one-shot-snipers, no riot shields, and no shotguns. But it could also mean a stricter rule set than just a weapon ban.
Rewards
The developers confirmed that the Ranked Play will feature unique seasonal rewards. Unfortunately, we are still in the dark on what these rewards will be.
MW2’s Ranked Mode introduced special Blueprints and Operator skins. You can expect Warzone 2 Ranked Play to have a similar system.
Conclusion
Set to release on May 10, the Warzone 2 Ranked Play Mode will feature a ranking system, restricted loadouts, and seasonal rewards. We hope this guide on what is Warzone 2 Ranked Play Mode answers your questions. As always, happy gaming!
