We got to experience Disgaea 1, and 2 on PC through the Steam Launcher, but didn’t get 3. Also, the Disgaea 3, and 4 weren’t released on Switch as well, making the players confused on what’s the actual reason.
Disgaea is a popular tactical role-playing game developed by Japanese Developers. The latest one in the series is Disgaea 7: Vows of Virtueless, which is available on all platforms, including PC, PS4/5, and Switch.
But that brought back memories of gamers when Disgaea 3 wasn’t released on PC Steam, as well as Switch. The whole series was doing great on Windows PC, so why is there no Disgaea 3 on PC Steam?
Which platforms were Disgaea 3 on?
Disgaea 3 can be referred to as a PS Exclusive game, launching only on the PS3, and PS Vita. Being launched way back in 2008, the game didn’t have any PC ports and also missed out on the Switch Release.
So, this makes Disgaea 3 a limited game only for the owners of PS3 and Vita.
Why is there no Disgaea 3 on PC Steam?
The reason behind the developers not releasing Disgaea 3 on PC Steam, and also Switch is because of its popularity. Disgaea 3 wasn’t anywhere near as popular as the Disgaea 1 and 2. The best Disgaea so far is actually the first part, regarded as the GOAT of the Disgaea series.
The first part is available on all the platforms, including PC, and Switch, but Disgaea 3 was missed a PC Port, not being available on Steam, due to the game being a flop.
The latest in the series is Disgaea 7: Vows of Virtueless, which has its own new classes and game mechanics. Check out the 5 Best Classes in Disgaea 7 to get a heads-up start.
