One Piece is regarded as the “Big 3”, alongside Naruto and Bleach. While, the father of all Anime is Dragon Ball itself, and no one is going to debate that. But, the series has been going for decades now, and no one knows how long will it take to end One Piece. Nevertheless, Oda Sama himself stated the year, and the time frame for the whole anime to stop. Will it happen till then or is it just another of Oda Sama’s mind games? Ending Date of One Piece Anime
There are always two parts of a series, its Manga, and the Anime itself. Manga was produced or written years ago, while Anime is being created by a company slowly, following the written material.
One Piece was released somewhere around October 1999, and it is not the Manga, we are talking about, rather it is the actual Anime.
We are well around 1100 episodes on One Piece Anime, and there is no stopping any time soon. But, we do know when is the Manga going to end, which tells us that the Anime is going to be over after 3 years, continuing from the ending of the Manga.
Ending Date of One Piece Manga
So, the Manga was released in 1997, 2 or 3 years before the release of Anime. In 2019, the mastermind of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda stated that the Manga is going to end around 2024 or 2025.
He has planned the ending of One Piece since his college days, and now he is near to 50 years of age. So, we could be looking at a possible Anime ending of One Piece in 2017.
But, there is one thing to mention here as well. One Piece Manga and Anime are reaching up to each other. Unlike before, when Manga was years ahead of Anime, this year, Anime is only months apart.
This means that it might take the same year to End One Piece. Nevertheless, these are all speculations based on the interviews of Oda himself, his biography, and how the Anime-Manga relationship typically goes on average.
It can be changed, and there are other factors as well like the health of Oda, the companies that are making the Anime, and so on. God Forbid, there are some calamities as well that can hinder the creation of these series.
